Each team is granted a 10-day grace period following the completion of the respective divisional scheduling meetings to initiate game changes with no penalty. Game changes initiated after this period follow the In-Season Game Changes procedures. All changes must first be agreed upon by the participating teams, and then a confirmation email of that change shall follow the Game Change Reporting procedures below. The deadlines for this grace period in 2023 are:
PAHL teams are expected to honor all game commitments, including the dates, times, and locations established at the start of the season for those games. Teams are therefore asked to limit all game changes to scenarios that truly warrant a change, and when such a change is necessitated, teams must communicate with the affected opponent at the earliest possible opportunity. Any team that receives a game change request but does not feel the change is warranted or the change adversely affects the team shall report such issues to the PAHL League Office. Once a change is agreed upon by the teams, a confirmation email of that change shall follow the Game Reporting Procedures below.
The following fees shall apply to In-Season Game Changes:
The PAHL will be strictly enforcing those fees for the 2023-24 season. The $250 fee may be appealed to the Executive Board, who can reduce the fee to $25 upon evidence that the change was required beyond the direct control of the team/association.
Once a change is agreed upon by both participating teams, the team that initiated the change request shall email the PAHL League Office at pahlconnect@pahockey.com and shall copy the contact(s) with the opponent. Please create a separate email for each game change. The email must include confirmation that the change has been explicitly agreed upon by both teams. The subject line of the email shall state “GAME CHANGE: #” and shall list the corresponding 6-digit PAHL game number. The body of the email shall contain the following information:
